Fiberglass grating
High Load Capacity Fiberglass Molded Grating
Carlson Engineered Composites' lineup of High Load Capacity (HLC) fiberglass molded grating is a higher strength design than the standard grating that offers the same corrosion-resistant, lightweight, and low-maintenance qualities. These products are available in 4’ x 6’ panels with 1-1/2” and 2” thicknesses.
These high load capacity fiberglass molded gratings are engineered to AASHTO H-20 requirements and are perfect for forklift, automobile, and semi-truck traffic. Common applications are flooring, platforms, ramps, storage areas, assembly lines, and trench covers.
The high load capacity fiberglass molded grating are available in three standard resin systems that meet Class 1 Flame Spread Rating as per ASTM E-84 test standards.
GP: General Purpose Polyester
A general purpose orthophthalic polyester resin system that offers good corrosion resistance at an economical price. Comes in standard colors of yellow and light gray and contains UV inhibitors. Polyester resin exhibits good corrosion resistance, good dielectric properties, low thermal conductivity, and excellent mechanical properties.
IFR: Fire Retardant Polyester
A premium-grade isophthalic polyester resin system that provides excellent corrosion protection. Comes in standard colors of green, yellow, dark gray, and light gray. Contains UV inhibitors.
VFR: Fire Retardant Vinylester
A vinylester resin system that provides the highest level of corrosion protection. Comes in standard colors of orange and dark gray. Contains UV inhibitors. This system is capable of higher service temperatures than polyester resin systems.
